Ben Sisto – ‘As Is (Signs)’

‘As Is (Signs)’ is Ben Sisto’s tribute to Jia Hua Trading Inc, importers and exporters of wholesale gifts and home goods. Sisto purchased several LED storefront signs from Jia Hua just prior to their leaving their 15 West 28th St. location in 2016.
The exhibition is accompanied by a zine of the same title, with images produced by placing the aforementioned LED signs either directly on a scanner, or in close proximity to the camera on a mobile phone.
The show will run for one weekend at Good Work Gallery, including a reception and zine release party on Friday, June 2nd at 7pm. Beers on Sisto.
